House of Mirrors

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, how do I get out of this place?

For a limited time only, you too can get lost in the labyrinth of mirrors at the Brisbane Powerhouse. The House of Mirrors installation by artists Christian Wagstaff and Keith Courtney was one of the biggest attractions at this year’s Dark Mofo festival in Hobart. As a part of the Brisbane Powerhouse’s debaucherous end-of-year carnival Wonderland, this mirror maze walk-through installation is available for you to experience from 18 November - 11 December 2016.

We went there right after our breakfast at the Allium Restaurant + Bar yesterday morning. It was such a wonderfully surreal experience in what felt like an endless maze of mirrors with no exit and I’m not sure if I would ever be able to find a way out without the other travel bunnie (ok, maybe that’s a little over exaggerated, but it would have definitely taken me a lot longer to navigate the exit).  Minibun George loved running around in there and he kept giggling every time he saw his reflections in the mirrors.

Brisbane is the first city to nab House of Mirrors after its Hobart debut before it goes to Sydney and Melbourne on a national tour and then sets sail overseas. Don’t miss out, and don’t get lost!

Disclaimer: Dolcebunnie and her bunnie family were invited guests of the event, and we loved every second of the experience! Please note that the views and opinions expressed in this post are as always, my own.
