Harvey's Bar & Bistro, 31 James Street, FORTITUDE VALLEY QLD 4006
Harvey's
looked so busy every time we went to the James Street precinct for
breakfast and sometime during this week, the bunnies decided to try
it out.
It
was lucky that we made a reservation as some of the customers were
asked to dine at the bar.
We
almost always start our Saturday with latte and Earl Grey, there's a
certain je ne sais quoi about
the smell of a pot of perfectly brewed Earl Grey that just makes me
so happy.
I'd
love to say that waiting for forty-five minutes for our breakfast was
totally worth it, but then I would be telling a lie. The other
bunnie's Confit potato, ricotta and spinach omelette with tomato
chutney and chilli flakes with Serrano ham ($19.50) was flavoursome
and the final touch of chilli flakes perfected it. My Potato and feta
roesti, creamed sweet corn, poached egg and herb salsa with Serrano
ham ($19.50) on the other hand was simplistic and perhaps a little
bland? Other than the Serrano ham that gave the dish some taste the
rest of the dish was rather disappointing and had nothing on the
omelette.
A
lot of the guests at Harvey's were well-dressed gentlemen and fashion
forward ladies, think elegant ponytails, minimal yet flawless make-up
and sexy stilettos. It is definitely a place to be seen or to gather
around and talk about your recent purchase at the designer furniture
boutique next door.
But
perhaps not for these bunnies.
Total
Bunnie Dollars Spent: $46.50
