Fat Noodle, 130 William Street, BRISBANE QLD 4000

When I left Brisbane for Los Angeles last year, I thought that the other travel bunnie and I had sampled most good restaurants in Brisbane and I was feeling quite miserable on the way back on the plane thinking that we would have very few dining options remaining.

On Friday night, I was still sick with the flu which turned out to be a nasty infection so the other travel bunnie offered to take me out for a nice bowl of pho at Luke Nguyen's Fat Noodle at the Treasury Casino.

There was a queue to get in, but after having seen the queues in New York, all of the sudden waiting fifteen minutes for a good meal seemed like nothing.

I am so glad that the other travel bunnie took me there. Fat Noodle serves Asian hawker style food, meaning that once when the food is ready in the kitchen, it gets delivered straight to you table and it might not be in the order that you want. Upon your arrival, you get a complimentary pot of jasmine tea, very thoughtful. The broth of the pho was so tasty, the dish was simple but it was so comforting. The thinly sliced Angus sirloin almost melted in my mouth. The other travel bunnie had roasted duck egg noodle, which was served with rich chicken broth that was just as nice.

We were pretty happy with our meals. Fat Noodle is cheap, relaxing and tasty. Now the bunnies don't have to travel to Sunnybank for some authentic Asian food.

Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $49.50.
