Kettle & Tin, 215 Given Terrace, PADDINGTON QLD 4064
As
part of our Saturday morning ritual, we stepped out on the street and
took a short cab ride to Paddington, where a new cafe has been
established. Kettle & Tin.
I
was instantly drawn to the look of this place! This cafe is nestled
in a traditional Queenslander, painted in a light lavender
colour and externally a beautiful white picket fence separates the
cafe's outdoor courtyard from busy Given Terrace.
We
were shown to a nice bench table against the wall inside, where we
read the weekend paper over a latte and a mixed berry smoothie. I
like the fact that he smoothie was actually mixed with yoghurt,
making it a much healthier option.
It
took a while before someone came over to take our food order, not
that this was a big issue. Our breakfast order included Hunter's Eggs
($16.00) and French Toasted Banana Bread w' Vanilla ice cream and
caramel syrup. The Hunter's Eggs was a very homely dish but I do
recommend that you try the banana bread if you want a sweet start of
your day.
There
is definitely room for improvement at this breakfast spot in terms of
the service however, the thought that was put into this cafe can be
felt immediately upon arrival, ie. the vintage style cushions and the
kettle water bottles.
Find
a table at the end of the cafe next to the windows where you can soak
up some winter sun over breakfast.
Total
Bunnie Dollars Spent: $40.50
