Moda Restaurant, 12 Edward Street, BRISBANE QLD 4000
It
was Friday, the sun was shining and the bunnies were hungry. So, we
headed to Moda this afternoon and immediately upon walking through
the front gates we were transferred to a Spanish garden in what could
have been any little country town in the Mediterranean. The outdoor
dining area was decorated green plants, rustic tables beautiful
little splashes of colour. The dining area was quite but we were
told by our first waitress that there was a function being held in
the restaurant’s indoor dining area.
We both ordered the lunchtime
market menu which allows you to pick from two options from either an
entrée and main or a main and dessert. The other bunnie started
with the duck liver pâté which was
served with toasted ciabatta bread and rhubarb sauce. The serving
was definitely large enough for both of us but while I am not
particularly a fan of pâté – the
other bunnie assured me it was nice. My chicken main was not
particularly impressive but the Mussels in tomato based sauce was
beautifully tasty and filling. We finished with an apple crumble
which we both agreed was a little too taut and overly pureed.
All
in all, the food was good value and served in a great open air
setting.
Total
Bunnie Dollars Spent: $70.00
