Where were the bunnies?

Now perhaps I have gone a little slack and the blog is looking dull with no new contents having been uploaded for a while. But you can’t really blame me, because I had been super duper excited about a trip onboard the magnificent luxury cruise ship - Queen Mary 2 as a part of our second wedding anniversary. I was so excited prior to the trip that QM2 was all I could think about was the cruise liner and how much food I would be able to eat onboard.

But I’m back now. Feeling relaxed and ready to share our experience on the QM2 with you. Stay tuned guys!

Where were the bunnies?

The bunnies have been busy traveling and devouring all sorts of delicious food. From back in July last year, the bunnies took a short trip to Sydney for a quick getaway before we flew over to China for month.

After suffering from some minor post-holiday depression, the other travel bunnie and I spent some time earlier this year in Melbourne which was just long enough for me to eat at some of the most amazing restaurants, such as the award winning Vue de Monde, but short enough for me to linger and want more of one of Melbourne’s culture elements – gastronomy.

So stay tuned guys, as the bunnies take you on a culinary journey yet again.

Where were the bunnies?

Ten flights, three train trips, two ferry trips and countless cab rides in between, after almost one month of travelling around the cities of China, the bunnies are back.

Hotel-hopping (all twelve of them) and food-devouring, our motto was “eat till we drop, and then eat again”. It was the other travel bunnie’s first time visiting the mainland China and I did what I could to leave him with no disappointment. The planning of the trip was months in the making, from selection of hotels to which street stall has the best yak milk yoghurt, you name it and I was on it.

We took over four thousand photos and met a few friendly faces along the way, I’m excited to say that although it might not be the most beautiful trip that we’ve taken, it was definitely one of the most interesting and bizarre holidays.

I can’t wait to share our China trip stories with you, but before that I will need to put closure to the USA trip that we took at the end of last year. So stay tuned and thanks for reading!

Lots of love, from the bunnies.

Where were the bunnies?

I told the other travel bunnie before we got engaged that I'm not the sort of girl who wants a lavish wedding. I'm simple. Being a bride doesn't mean much to me as I'd rather be the other travel bunnie's fluffy wifey (think white, furry flop-earred bunnie with a big pink polka dot bow)... on the condition that the other travel bunnie takes me somewhere nice, extremely nice for our honeymoon.

The Maldives has always been our first option, but unfortunately, due to my excessive travelling hobby and my three weeks of NEGATIVE annual leave, we could only have a long weekend getaway.

So... the other travel bunnie took me to the current number 1 resort of the world (yes, the entire world), Qualia – part 1 of our honeymoon.

Stay tuned :)

Where were the bunnies?

As the bunnies always have two international holidays planned, we actually arranged flights and accommodation in the States almost one year in advance. So you can imagine how excited I was when the departure date finally arrived.

Our Qantas flight left on a sunny Saturday afternoon from Brisbane, which means that we arrived in Los Angeles early in the morning on the same date. From there, we went to Anaheim, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New York, Miami for a one week cruise around the Caribbean, back to Miami for a relaxing day around South Beach, and finally, New York for a much anticipated New Year's Eve.

During the trip we took two bus rides, one cruise, one helicopter ride, five domestic flights and two international flights (plus various other transportation).

It was one of the biggest trips we've ever taken in the past three years and it was certainly a memorable one.

Stay tuned for wonderful photos and stories of our adventures.

Where were the bunnies?

I was promised with two international holidays and two domestic holidays every year, by the other travel bunnie. Together with lots of jewellery, a platinum credit card and endless cuddles.

Hah, now I have your attention. Obviously I was only kidding, other than the endless cuddles part.

You see, being travel bunnies, we love to travel. I love being at a place where things are unfamiliar to me, things that fascinate me, things that provide me with thrills and excitement and things that are thought provoking.

So last weekend, when the sun finally showed its pretty face, the other travel bunnie took me to Byron Bay, where he booked a surprise anniversary weekend getaway. Stay tuned for photos.

Where was the bunnie?

Hello boys and girls,

No no, I haven't been slack. I know that I didn't put up any new posts over the weekend, but I have a perfect excuse for it.

I took mum to Sydney for Mother's Day Weekend.

You see, when I was a little girl, mum meant the world to me. I was always following her around with a teddy bear in my hand and my pigtails bouncing around. When I got older, I was too busy studying, too busy working, too busy finding love and too busy dragging a suitcase travelling around the world. Until suddenly, I noticed a few strands of white hair on her, then I realised, mum has sacrificed so much for me, she's always there for me whenever I needed. It's about time for me to offer my entire world to her.

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day Weekend with the woman who loves you the most.

Where were the bunnies?

We flew over 7,274 kilometres to Thailand, where a rather adventurous week was spent. Together we ate something that is so hard to find here in Brisbane, we went to some of the most amazing beaches, we spent long hours on top of a mountain over looking the ocean, praying. We also shared one of the craziest moments of our lives during the Songkran festival getting soaking wet. Stay tuned for more stories of our exciting Easter holiday getaway.

Where were the bunnies?

We were everywhere. No, literally.

We got up early one morning, when the sky was still dark, when there were no cars on the streets of the CBD, when it was cold and I could barely open my eyes. The two of us and our almost empty suitcases took an eight-hour flight to Seoul, Korea. It felt like I have left everything behind. No more work, no mortgages, just two passports, a stack of hotel confirmations and a man whom I truly admire, care and love.

Then, it was a track of our footprints around half of Europe. Until one day, we arrived at our final destination of the trip, an island located in the southern Aegean Sea, and there, I watched the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life…

Where were the bunnies?

Last month was my birthday month (yes, you read it correctly, at Bunnyland, we celebrate our birthdays in style for the whole month), so we took a nice trip to the big buzzing city - HongKong.
