Barcadia Kitchen + Bar | 136 Oxford Street, BULIMBA QLD 4171
Bulimia’s favourite night spot, Barcadia Kitchen + Bar just got more popular with the locals by serving up breakfast on weekends from 7am. I was fortunate enough to be one of the first people to have the pleasure of tasting their breakfast fare last weekend. The breakfast menu boasts beautiful simplicity with hearty favourites and what you see on the menu is what you get as Head Chef DJ takes great pride in cooking up delicious, quality food with the Barcadian-twist. For the perfect hang over cure, you can have the Barcadia Big Breakfast ($24) - middle rasher bacon, eggs your way, on fried potato galette with garlic kale, wild mushrooms & house smoked tomato, and those looking for something lighter will be impressed with the Cloudy Apple Soaked Bircher Muesli with roasted coconut, yoghurt, citron preserved fruits & nuts ($14). I ordered the Poached Eggs Benedict served with house smoked salmon with duck fat rosti on seeded rye ($20); you probably guessed it already, the duck fat rosti was perfectly crispy and extremely addictive. I thoroughly enjoyed my dish and so did everyone else around the table as most plates were wiped clean.
Take my advice and check it out before people start queueing outside to get a table on the weekends, and while you’re there, make sure you order a cup of coffee made with Bear Bones Espresso Badger blend.
Disclaimer: DolceBunnie dined at Barcadia Kitchen + Bar as an invited guest, however my opinion is as always, my own.
