Stockholm Syndrome, 340 Sandgate Road, ALBION QLD 4010

When we woke up on Saturday morning, the weather was miserable, it had started to rain and we looked at each other hesitating about whether or not to venture out for food.

The name 'Stockholm Syndrome' came to mind as I had heard about it a while ago and when I googled the place, I was immediately drawn to the bright red exterior of this Swedish restaurant.

The décor is über-cool and the food surpassed our expectations. The Eggs Benedict was perfection with a creamy Hollandaise sauce ($14) and the Baked mushrooms served with fetta, wilted spinach and soft poached eggs on top of turkish bread ($14) tasted just as good. We couldn't pick a favourite. Our breakfast was had with a mug of cappuccino ($4) and a pot of Stockholm Blend tea ($4).

The constant passing of vehicles on busy Sandgate Road was noisy, but once when I got my food, I quickly became lost in the moment.

As we came out from breakfast, it suddenly dawned on me that the place captures you and makes you fall in love with the food that it provides... Stockholm Syndrome.

Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $36.
