The Byron at Byron Resort & Spa, Byron Bay AUSTRALIA
when
we arrived at the reception of The Bryon at Bryon, I was immediately
taken back to our recent Thailand trip. The big open spaces and lush
green trees provide a perfect backdrop for the resort's sparkling
blue swimming pool which instantly caught my attention.
Spacious
is a modest word to describe this 45 acre eco-friendly property,
located just a five minute drive from the Byron CBD and the entire
experience feels relaxing and exclusive. We were assigned a suite on
the second level of the Everglades wing. The interior of the
apartment style suite was simple yet warm. It comes with two
balconies each with a different view, a fully equipped kitchenette
and a rather roomy living room. My favourite feature however was the
bathroom. Stainless steel shower floor with opening windows, tick.
Deep bathtub for two, tick!
After
we settled in, we took a stroll around the resort and ended up at a
lookout point with an amazing view of the sunset over a serene river.
It was so quite, it felt like time had frozen and we were the only
two people left in the world.
We
joked how it was a pity that we didn't bump into Elle McPherson (who
was a guest at this resort, along with Delta Goodream and other
celebrities) in the complimentary yoga class the next morning, but it
was nevertheless an amazing stay. It's a piece of paradise in our own
backyard, without having to flying to a different country to enjoy
the views, the fresh air, the smell of ocean and a delicious dose of
vitamin D.
