2forks | Shop 4, Westmark Milton, 22-36 Railway Terrace, MILTON QLD 4064

Albeit being the new kid on the block, if you appreciate your meat being done right, then 2forks is a place that can not be missed.

We checked out the newly opened Milton location of this eatery recently and had an absolute feast! The story behind this brand is driven by the desire to provide the perfect pulled meat. Legend has it, it was a perfect Aussie lazy weekend when three unlikely mates got into a heated discussion, fuelled by their dissatisfaction of good pulled meat eateries in Australia… and the rest was history as their unending love for pulled meat rallied them together to create 2forks - an eatery that specialises in ten-hour slow-cooked hand-pulled meat. That's right, meat so tender that you can easily pull it into pieces with just two forks.

Using 100% Australian-grown meat, you can pretty much design your own meal here. Step 1, you choose your meat, everything from Bourbon pork to pomegranate-glazed lamb to Mexican beef… and plenty in between. Then, you pick your style; whether you want your meat in a burger, or toasted burrito or nachos, or even salad, you got it. If you have a tough time making up your mind, then simply ask one of the friendly staff for a recommendation as they are more than happy to help you out. We opted for a beer BBQ beef burger with chargrilled pineapple, spicy carrot, and coconut slaw served on a black brioche bun (yep, you guessed it, you get to choose your own buns) as well as a half serving of the USA style pork ribs. The burger was epic; it was built like a tower and definitely required two hands to eat it. The meat in both dishes was tantalisingly soft and juicy, and the serving portions were really generous. What I also love about 2forks, besides their AWESOME salt station, is that they give back to the community - simply order the pulled meat dishes with the “Hands Up” icon on the menu and 2forks will donate 10% of the value of that dish to Opportunity International Australia, an organisation that provides opportunities to families living in poverty to transform their lives by giving them a hand up, not a hand-out.

I seriously can’t wait to go back and next time when I visit, I’m gonna order the sharing platter ($55) served with hand-pulled meats with bite-sized white corn tortillas, fresh avocado, chunky tomato salsa, sour cream, red cabbage and black sesame seed slaw. Boom!

Disclaimer: DolceBunnie was an invited guest of 2forks, however, my opinion is as always, my own.
