Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co. | Gold Coast, AUSTRALIA
Could Betty’s Burgers be the Gold Coast’s answer to Shake Shack?! The question immediately came into my mind when we received our meal at this centrally located burger joint in Surfers Paradise. Its funky and refreshing decor makes the space extremely inviting and a perfect place to chill and have a nice feed after a stroll around the shops; think hanging pots of ferns, white washed wood paneling and let’s not ignore that intoxicating smell of sizzling meat.
The menu is simple; you won’t find over the top Frankenstein burgers here, but options like Betty’s Classic ($10) - Angus beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, Betty’s special sauce, and the Southern fried chicken burger ($10) which will no doubt impress you. They also have a kids burger which comes with Angus beef, cheese, onion, tomato sauce ($7) to keep the mini bunnies happy. Watch out for the French fries ($5), seasoned with sea salt, these crispy little things are super addictive with their home made special sauce.
Now that we’ve discussed the burger side of things you need to be prepared to meet the concretes: freshly made frozen custard ice cream combined with delicious treats such as baked apple pie, New York cheesecake, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts ($8). If you’re feeling creative, you can create your very own concrete ($6 plus $1 for every mix-ins).
Hey Betty, I don’t know who you are, but I bet you make a good wifee because your burgers are damn fine.
Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $46.50
