Customs House | 399 Queen Street, BRISBANE CBD QLD 4000
We
walked along the Brisbane riverside walk while enjoying the beautiful winter
weather last Sunday and decided to have breakfast at the Customs House as we
stopped outside of its back entrance.
Set
at a prime location in Brisbane with a stunning view of the Story Bridge, Customs
House holds a sense of grandeur and historical elegance.
Breakfast
was served quickly with the food arriving just as we were about to finish a
Cappuccino and a pot of Earl Grey (both $4.50 each).
My
sand crab omelette with chilli, ginger, green onions, bean sprouts and soy
dressing tasted quite bland and simplistic. I thought the dish was quite
overpriced at $22. The Customs House
Breakfast – scrambled eggs, bacon, pork sausage, grilled tomato and sautéed
mushrooms ($20) was far better value by comparison.
I
think having Sunday brunch at Customs House is a novel idea, but I probably
wouldn't rush back in a hurry despite the friendly service and stunning view.
Total
Bunnie Dollars Spent: $51.
