So after a three-month engagement, the bunnies decided to get hitched on Saint Valentine's Day, the most romantic day of the year. It was a rather a spontaneous decision, having said that, we did consider getting married at the Cinderella's Castle in Disneyland or the Little White Wedding Chapel in Vegas.
After we came back from the USA, we had very little time to organise our special day. Libertine popped up in my mind almost straight away when we started planning for a venue for our wedding celebration dinner with the family. The restaurant is extremely intimate and I have been so fond of their sparkling chandeliers ever since that time when I first laid my eyes on them.
Dinner turned out to be a fantastic affair. The food was delicious as usual. The duck pancakes and the wagyu were definitely winners of the night, but that's not to say the rest of our dishes weren't delightful. Our waiter was extremely professional and efficient. He kept an eye on our drinks the whole night, so everyone had a great time.
In addition to the dessert platters, we also brought a Lenett cake that we had ordered from Le Bon Choix – which is, inevitably, one of the best French patisseries in Brisbane. The white chocolate mousse cake was silky smooth and devilishly mouthwatering, the design was simple yet elegant.
Instead of having a grand wedding, we had a stress-free intimate family affair and it was simply perfect.
