Bistro One Eleven, 111 Eagle Street, BRISBANE QLD 4000
The
other travel bunnie and I attended a private function at Phillip
Johnson's Bistro One Eleven last night (yes, as in Phillip Johnson from E'cco Bistro). I wasn't really sure what to
expect in terms of the food; probably a few canapés floating around
while the suited and heeled professionals mingle and pretend that
they are still sober enough to give out their business cards.
The
food turned out to be really impressive. Everything was well
presented and was easy to eat (which is so important because the
last thing you want at a function is to spill sauce all over your
dry-cleaned, freshly ironed crisp white shirt).
My
favourite was the lettuce wrapped prawn & avocado cocktail, while
the other travel bunnie thoroughly enough the koftas with skordalia
sauce.
The
waitresses all made sure that no one's glass was empty. Pity the
night finished too soon.
