Byblos, 37 Harbour Road, HAMILTON QLD 4007

The other travel bunnie had been wanting to take me to Byblos for a while, but we've been so busy trying to tick-off our list of places to dine before our holiday at the end of the year and Byblos was number eleven (which means we have ten more to go, woohoo!)

Situated at Portside, Byblos not only serves great Persian food, it shakes up some awesome cocktails too.

We initially booked a table inside the restaurant, but I thought the outside dining area offered a nicer, more relaxed atmosphere.

It was into the night and I was too lazy to read the menu. We both agreed on the Byblos platter for two ($68). The food came quickly and it did not disappoint. I couldn't pick a favourite out of Rekakat (filo pastries filled with feta and mozzarella cheese, chopped onion, and fresh herbs) or the Sambusek (pastries filled with marinated lamb, pine nuts, and traditional spices). They were both delicious.

Having said that, both the lamb and chicken skewers were tender and tasty.

I really enjoyed Byblos and I can't wait to go back for a drink in their glamourous and exotic Phoenician inspired lounge.

Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $75
