Mom Tri's Kitchen, Mom Tri's Villa Royale, Phuket THAILAND
Mom Tri’s Kitchen is perhaps the best restaurant in Kata, Phuket. It
offers a great panoramic view of the ocean and is in a very romantic setting.
Candlelit tables, the sound of waves splashing against the rocks that the
restaurant is suspended over, the salty sea breeze, we couldn’t ask for more.
This restaurant is considerably more expensive than a
lot of other restaurants in this area but what you get in return is class and
atmosphere, not to mention a great culinary experience.
My favourite of the night was not a traditional Thai
dish… it was Trio Brûlée, which came with basil, Grand Marnier and vanilla brûlée
topped with caramelized sugar crust. To me, I think if it’s traditional Thai
cuisine that you are after, Mom Tri is probably not the best place to go (value
wise). However, if it’s for a special occasion or you simply want amazing atmosphere,
then this is a must try in the area.
