Brother Espresso, 127 Margaret Street, BRISBANE QLD 4000
I somehow found out about Brother Espresso and decided to try it out at lunch.
I don't usually go to that part of the town and regret that I didn't know about this place earlier. Settled in a beautiful old building on Margret Street, the layout at Brother Espresso is unique and somehow very Brooklyn (in a funky way of course).
Being a party of one, I sat at the long bar table watching my lunch getting prepared, as the cafe was packed with uni students and white-collars in pairs. A large latte (using their own Fifth Battery Coffee Roasters, a rather delicious blend) and lemon & basil chicken on turkish bread arrived quickly and the turkish bread was toasted to perfection, although I would have preferred to have a more intense flavour to the dressing.
I absolutely loved Brother's atmosphere, it provides relaxation with a rust retro touch. It's another great place for me to escape from work and study.
Brother Espresso looks really cool- love the artworks on the walls and even though I don't drink coffee- think I'll pop in next time I'm in Bris.
ReplyDeleteHi Gastronomy Gal, I love cool coffee shops like that and I think Brisbane is finally catching up with Sydney and Melbourne in terms of the variety and décor. Let me know if you have any recommendation! Have a great day!
