The Farm Byron Bay + Three Blue Ducks
The Farm in Byron Bay is one of our favourites spots every time we take a trip south of the border. The Farm isn’t hard to locate, simply take the Byron Bay exit and when you reach the roundabout take the fourth exit onto Ewingsdale Road, you’ll see the 80-acre working farm that is taken care by a passionate community of growers and producers who focus on growing food using sustainable methods that are 100% chemical and spray free.
Minibun George loves it here. Every time we visit, he would run around the fields of flowers like the happiest kid alive and have chitchats to the animals. Speaking of which, animals like Scottish Highland cattle, chickens and heritage-breed pigs all call The Farm home. They roam freely on row upon row of lush greens and with their meat and eggs used at the restaurant, cafe and produce store her at The Farm.
That’s another reason why we enjoy coming to The Farm. Here, you can dine at the Three Blue Ducks where the food is absolutely delicious, all enjoyed in a chilled, rustic setting. With a focus on using local produce, the restaurant is extremely popular, especially on the weekends, so expect some waiting time. If you are in a rush or simply prefer something more casual, there’s a BBQ area where you can order a takeaway meal made with meat cooked on their double spit, or something from the pizza oven every weekend.
All this talk of good food is making me hungry… I can’t wait to go to The Farm again.
The Farm has been on my list FOREVER, but I've been worried if it's a kid's friendly place. Thanks for sharing how George enjoys it.
