London Porterhouse | 6/36 Vernon Terrace, TENERIFFE QLD 4006
The
trendy suburb of Teneriffe now has a yet another new venue – London
Porterhouse. Located in the iconic London Woolstore Apartments,
London Porterhouse is an Argentinian influenced steakhouse and bar.
If I had to personify this place think an edgy fashionista who wears
Galliano and isn’t afraid of surrounding herself with good food and
wine. Forget about being a size 0, it is so last year.
The
other travel bunnie and I had the pleasure of being invited to their
official launch party and it was a night of endless fun, delicious
food and plenty of good wine.
The
venue itself boosts an exotic atmosphere, with the inside bar being
dark and intimate but at the same time having the outside alfresco
dining area offering a bright contrast, as it provided nice, relaxing
spring breezes throughout the night as we mingled and devoured.
The
guests were treated to a vast variety of food available from the
restaurant’s menu, which involves locally grown and sourced
produce cooked with traditional South American flair.
I
thoroughly enjoyed the lamb ribs which were well spiced with cumin,
but the star of the night had to be the grilled meat platter. As soon
as they hit at the tables, they were quickly circled by a group of
hungry meat-eaters.
Have
I mentioned that their meat are cooked on parilla, but instead of using coals, they use volcanic lava rock to preserve the juiciness of the meat?! Now the secret's out!
London
Porterhouse is a must to check out if you are in the area and looking
for some tasty food with a cool vibe.
*Disclaimer: the bunnies attended the function of guests of London Porterhouse
