Shady Palms Cafe | 427 Logan Road, GREENSLOPES QLD 4120

You leave the country for a month and the next thing you know Brisbane has become even trendier and popular new eating spots have again sprung up out of nowhere.

And of course, I am definitely eager to try each and every one of them.

It seems like the bunnies are now back into their weekend routine and so when Sunday breakfast came around we hopped over to Shady Palms and decided to share a table with Woody Allen (well, sort of)

This café is located on the fringe of Stones Corner and has a wonderful indoor/ outdoor setup that flows from the front door right through to the backyard terraced tables.  Breakfast was tasty and generously proportioned.  I ordered the Brioche French toast w' grilled banana, maple syrup, gingerbread ice cream and fairy floss ($12.50) and the other bunny decided to have the homemade cornbread, maple bacon w' fried egg, tomato, paprika sour cream and roasted mushrooms ($14.50).  With a pot of early grey and a cappuccino we were quickly full and despite the other travel bunnies’ cornbread being a little spongy and not so tasty I really enjoyed the sweetness and texture of my French toast.

All in all, this is yet another funky but affordable breakfast spot that has opened up in an area that was previously lacking.

Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $37.50
