Atomica Eat Drink, 173 Boundary Street, WEST END QLD 4101
The
Discover Europe Travel Expo was held last Sunday at the Brisbane
Convention & Exhibition Centre and although we (sort of) promised
each other that we will not be taking any holidays overseas next
year, we thought that it wouldn't hurt just to check it out.
Of
course, before going to the Expo, breakfast had to be eaten and this
weekend, it was at Atomica Eat Drink in West End as it was close and
I've read good reviews.
The
cafe was extremely busy and we were lucky to have found a table
inside. I wasn't overly attracted to the plain décor of the cafe and
thought that with so many quirky cafes popping up in Brisbane, this
one really wasn't that eye-catching.
We
waited more than an hour for our breakfast. The waiter apologetically
advised us that he had forgotten to place our order, but he kindly
took off my strawberry smoothie off our bill.
The
food (when it finally arrived) was tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the
pancake stack with caramel sauce, banana and vanilla ice cream
($12.90) and the other travel
bunnie's Big Breakfast
came with
bacon,
free-range eggs, a lamb and rosemary sausage, swiss brown mushrooms,
roasted tomato and bubble and squeak with tomato jam and toasted
sourdough all for the price of $17.90.
If
it wasn't for the long wait, our experience would have been terrific.
Total
Bunnie Dollars Spent: $35.70
