French Twist, 104 Melbourne Street, SOUTH BRISBANE QLD 4101

For a moment there, you might think that you have stumbled upon a Parisian patisserie in a small village en Provence.

I don’t blame you.

The décor of this French Twist shop is simply fabulous and may I add, very Frenchy indeed. I thought having breakfast for two at a place like this that offers fantastic French flair would cost me a fortune. I was wrong.

Breakfast that morning for the two of us consisted of Caramelised red onion, crumbled feta w’ rosemary on ciabatta bread ($10.90) and Brioche French toast w’ fresh strawberries, ice cream and maple syrup ($12.90). Of course, we also enjoyed our breakfast with a pot of Early Grey and a latte, both served in gorgeous crockery(très chich!). The caremelised red onion had a strong and distinctive taste but was, nevertheless delicious.  I love the presentation of my brioche French toast, it was my devilish treat for the day.

For those of you who have a slight fascination (or may I say love affair) with French pastries like moi, French Twist might be just the temporary cure for your addiction between visits to France.

Bunny Dollars Spent: $32.00 (or thereabouts).

    1. Hi Aga, it is a beautiful shop. Took my breath away when I saw it the first time (be careful when you take photos inside but, it's not allowed… i was very brave. )
