Sightseeing Cruise / Top of the Rock | New York City, USA

There are so many vantage points that you can take up to get a different view of Manhattan. On one day we decided to make use of our New York pass (you can find them here) and took a 2hour sightseeing cruise from Pier 83 (West 42th Street and 12th Avenue). During the cruise that circumnavigates Manhattan Island we got to pass under all the major bridges and had a magnificent close-up of the Statue of Liberty all while shivering in the bone chilling winds on the top deck of the boat.

The same day we swiped our new york pass' again and climbed to the very top of the Rockefeller Centre. Having already caught a breathtaking view of the city that never sleeps at dusk from the top of the Empire State Building I had my reservations about doing this attraction. Boy was I wrong – this is a must when in NYC and the spectacular views of central park from the 80th floor open air deck are memorable.
