San Francisco | California, USA

It’s safe to say that San Francisco is by far my favourite city in the USA. Yes the weather was mostly overcast during our visit, but if anything rain and cloudy weather added to the charm and charisma of this beautiful place, often known as the city by the bay.

The other travel bunnie and I took god knows how many rides on the cable cars but we just couldn’t get enough of the stunning scenery along the way from the financial district up and then down to Fisherman’s Wharf.

Everyone seemed so happy to be there.

We had a chitchat with the cable car driver during one of the rides, and he proudly pronounced to us ‘what’s not to love about this place, it’s beautiful!’

Indeed he is right.

From the steep and winding Lombard Street, to the lazy sea lions at Pier 39, from the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge to the haunting Alcatraz Island.  Not to mention those beautiful houses around Alamo Square and those crazy, out there shops around Haight-Ashbury.

When it rained one night we took a stroll out on the streets and the tiny raindrops blurred the view in front of us, it was truly romantic.

I’m in love with San Francisco - it’s a place that I can’t wait to return to.
