Liquorish, 140 Oxford Street, BULIMBA QLD 4171

I stepped out of work today realising that it was still daylight, a sudden rush of happiness filled my body and I hopped all the way to the other travel bunnie's office. Before I got there, I made a phone call to him, urging him to immediately shut down his computer and we were to have a date night somewhere out of the CBD.

Liquorish Bistro & Bar was that place. Located in the busy dining precinct of Bulimba, Liquorish is roomy and wonderfully designed. It's modern and yet still retains touches of traditional uniqueness.

We had their Winter Warmer set menu where a glass of wine is offered to accompany your choice of entree and main. We started our dinner with Half shell scallops, buttered leeks, thyme, garlic, crisp pancetta & white truffle oil and Gratinated house made gnocchi, tomato, chorizo, smoked mozzarella, basil & reggiano. Both of our entrees were absolutely delicious, especially the scallops. They were so tender and the pancetta and garlic created layers of flavour.

For mains, we had the Risotto of prawns, clams, scallops & squid with saffron, chilli & lemon oil and House made pappardelle wagyu brisket ragu, tomato, basil, olives & grana padano, which the other travel bunnie spoke highly about. The risotto was slightly undercooked for my liking, but other than that, I have nothing to complain about.

The service was warm and it was definitely a bonus to the dining experience.

Total Bunnie Dollars Spent: $90.00
