Little Greek Taverna, 1 Browning Street, WEST END QLD 4101

Eating Greek food on Friday nights is almost like our weekly ritual, so it was about time for the travel bunnies to try Little Greek Taverna.

We've walked past this place so many times but I was never quick enough to successfully secure a table. So this time I made sure that our table was booked well in advance.

Last summer when we went to Greece, we tried so many places in an attempt to find the perfect café frappé and I was surprised to see café frappé ($3.00) on Little Greek Taverna's menu. My frappé was served Î¼Îµ γάλα (with milk) and Î³Î»Ï…κός (sweet) and it tasted sooooo good.

We started our diner with Yiayia Domna’s Cheese Bread ($7.50), which was served with feta cheese & roasted sweet red peppers. The bread was tasty but it would've been better if it was toasted rather than cold.

For main, we had lamb shanks ($12.00) and chicken yiros ($10.00) with a side of large traditional Greek salad ($10.00). The lamb simply melts in your mouth and the chicken yiros, topped with freshly chopped herbs was tasty with a slight smokey flavour.

We enjoyed our desserts with live Greek bouzouki music playing in the background and it put a perfect touch to our dinner.

Overall, dinner was pleasant and service was prompt. I'm not sure as to whether it actually has a distinctive uniqueness than other greek eateries around West End, but I can assure you that they make good frappé.

Yiamas.
